Once I register, when can I begin classes? I don’t see a starting date on the website.

You can start any time! Once you register, we will email you a welcome letter with all of the log in details and credentials.

How is it that I can start any day? Won’t I be lost if I don’t start on a specific day?

The classes are module formatted so each class is an isolated topic. Therefore, you will not be lost no matter which day you start. There are students starting and finishing every day. For example, your first class might cover environmental issues and another student’s first class might be covering Fair Housing. The classes do not have to be taken in any particular sequence.

How do I get the book and materials that go with the class?

You can either make arrangements to pick them up at the school by appointment, have them shipped to your home for an additional $10 fee or choose the ebook option.

How much studying and homework is involved with this course?

You will receive one text book and a RI supplement. To be prepared for the class and state exam, you will need to read the book and materials thoroughly and answer the chapter quizzes and end of book sample exams. Other than that, there is no homework required.

I am not a good test taker. Is the state exam really hard?

We prepare you very well for the state exam. You are also allowed to repeat some classes with no charge and students can also purchase additional exam prep materials, or sign up for our affordable tutoring and/or an exam prep class.

Where is the state exam offered?

It is offered in Warwick and East Providence, RI as well as North Dartmouth, Mass (and other Massachusetts locations). The exam is offered 6 days a week and you can pick the day and time that works best for you.

I’m trying to log into the class, but the meeting hasn’t started yet, what do I do?

Our settings allow for students to join the meeting in order to be prepared for class start time or to communicate with classmates. However, the online meeting platforms have applied additional steps for security verification. If you are attempting to log in and it says the meeting has not yet begun, it could mean we are experiencing temporary technical difficulties due to changes and updates to our online meeting forum in effort to accommodate the increase in usage due to COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Please be assured we are working to remedy to problem as quickly as possible. Please do not call or text, etc. as it could delay the issue resolution.
