Classroom Policies

Attendance Policy:
Students are required to fulfill 60 hours of classroom attendance within six (6) months in order to successfully pass this course. Attendance is taken daily and if a student needs to miss any classes, they may take corresponding lectures in our other classes if space is available. Punctuality for all classes is required. Late arrivals and/or leaving prior to class dismissal is not allowed due to the disruption to the other students. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be allowed into the classroom and will not receive credit for that class.

Grading Policy:
Final Exam – 100% of grade.

Pre-licensing Certificate:
At the end of the 60 hour course, if the student has satisfied the 60-hour attendance requirement, has paid in full (tuition: $425.00 plus textbooks: $50.00, total $475.00) and has also achieved a passing grade of 70% or higher in the class, he/she will receive a 60 hour certificate of completion. This certificate is necessary to be eligible to apply to take the Connecticut Salesperson Licensing Examination.

Repeat Students:
Students who have either not completed their hours or passed their class exam within six months from date of their enrollment will be charged a $250 ‘Retake’ fee and no credit will be given for prior classes completed. After six months, no discount will be given and the student will have to retake the course at the full tuition.

Refund Policy:
Refunds minus a $35 administration fee will only be given if written request is received within 3 days of registration. Upon written request. a check will be mailed within 14 business days, as no refunds will be made directly to credit card accounts. If a request is not received within that time, students will have school credit that is good for one from the registration date. Students may also transfer this credit to someone else within one year so long as no classes were attended. . No refund will be given for any books received.

Technology Use in Classroom:
Use of laptops, iPads, cell phones and/or other wireless devices are not allowed to be used in the classroom, unless class is on break. Recording devices are not allowed at any time.

Student Success:
Students are enrolled in a course that will consist of multiple in-class quizzes and projects, guest speakers, and a final examination. To succeed, the student should take good notes on the daily classroom lectures, be on time for class, read the textbook topics before the class, and answer the questions at the end of each chapter before we review the subjects.
